PURPOSE: Provided is a dioxin elimination adsorbent which is cheap and capable of effectively eliminating dioxin. CONSTITUTION: The adsorbent is prepared by heating and activating gas mixture containing activated coke breeze which is a byproduct of coke fabrication process, air and steam at a temperature of 300-600°C, wherein the adsorbent has specific surface area greater than 10 m¬2/g.
