发明名称 MACROMOLECULAR PTC ELEMENT AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the room-temperature conductivity of a macromolecular PTC element constituted by forming electrodes on both surfaces of a sheet-like molded body of a macromolecular PTC composition composed of conductive powder, and a crystalline macromolecular compound in an initial stage and after switching operations are repeated to≤2Ω.cm, by improving the adhesive properties of the electrodes. SOLUTION: The resistivity of the macromolecular PTC composition is reduced by using a group carbide as the conductive powder and adjusting the volumetric filling factor of the powder to 45-60%. In addition, the electrodes are formed by forming spaces the openings of which have areas smaller than the maximum values of the internal cross-sectional areas of the spaces near the surface of the sheet-like molded body of the macromolecular PTC composition and plating the surface of the molded body so that the spaces may be filled up with a plated material. The electrodes formed in this way have large contact areas to the macromolecular PTC composition and are hardly peeled from the molded body. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
