PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter which can largely open a magnetic head slot of a magnetic head cartridge to be inserted into a card type disk drive. SOLUTION: The shutter 18 has a plurality of sliding shutter plates S1 to S3 which are successively connected in a serial state in closing of the magnetic head slot 16 and are housed by being successively superposed in a parallel state in opening of the slot 16. The shutter plates S1 to S3 are respectively provided with engaging sections for the adjacent shutter plates in order to permit the transition between the serial state and the parallel state by the opening and closing action of the shutter plate S1 existing at a closing direction end in the serial state.
