PURPOSE: A method for forming coating film for CRT panel is provided to achieve improved luminance and contrast of CRT by improving transmissibility, while simplifying processes and obtaining a uniform pattern. CONSTITUTION: A method for forming a coating film(30) to the outer surface of a CRT panel, comprises a first step of forming first thin films(30a,30b) by coating a metal colloidal solution to the outer surface of the CRT panel; a second step of patterning, through a laser, the first thin films corresponding to the pattern of a phosphor screen; and a third step of forming a second thin film(30c) by coating a transparent oxide onto the patterned first thin films. The metal is selected from a group consisting of a transition metal, alkali metal, alkali earth metal and mixture thereof.
