Simulated finger for testing fingerprint sensors, consists of silicone with elastic deformability corresponding to that of human finger

The finger consists of a silicone whose elastic deformability corresponds to that of a human finger. The silicone may be of the type used to make dental gum models. An Independent claim is also included for method of testing a fingerprint sensor by bringing a simulated finger into contact with a fingerprint sensor under test, and comparing the detected characteristics with stored comparison values.
