The invention relates to a method and a device for removing adhesions, especially oily or fatty adhesions, that are present on the surface of metal parts. According to the invention, the metal parts to be treated are heated in a substantially closed treatment compartment in order to evaporate the adhesions. The device for carrying out the inventive method is embodied as a furnace, especially as a continuous/pusher type furnace.
