PURPOSE: A system and a method for managing the error of applications of a switch are provided to store error information in a database, systematically manage error information by a CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Architecture) server/client structure and the database, and retrieve error information in real time in a location capable of accessing the corresponding database. CONSTITUTION: The first to nth applications(21-1 to 21-n) call a server object method when an error is generated, and transmit error information. A CORBA server(22) reads error information from each application according to the call of each application. A database(23) stores error information provided from the CORBA server(22) in an error information table. A GUI(Graphic User Interface)(24) retrieves error information stored in the database(23), and provides retrieved error information to a user.
