PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To draw a decorative picture pattern of fine particles exhibiting a diamond gloss. SOLUTION: The method for drawing the picture pattern comprises the step of generating a coating material having the decorative picture pattern containing a diamond powder of 10 to 15 microns as a main component. The method further comprises the step of adhering the coating material in a density of 0.05 to 1.0 g/cm<SP>2</SP>to the surface of an article such as the screen printing surface of a dichroic reaction ink conducted on a dark color coating surface, a lacquer coating surface or the like. The method may also comprise the steps of coating a paint obtained by kneading the diamond powder of 10 to 15 microns with a glaze of 1.0 g on the surface of a biscuit firing porcelain material, and backing the material at 800 to 900°C, thereby displaying the picture pattern irradiated with the reflected light of the diamond fine particles on the surface of the porcelain.
