<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink set capable of achieving the printing of an image having excellent reproducibility of the image and color. <P>SOLUTION: The ink set comprises a black ink composition and at least one or more colored ink compositions. The black ink composition comprises a pigment surface-treated so as to be dispersible and/or dissolvable in water without using a disperser, and water as a main solvent.
