PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel for household electric appliance whose structure is simple, whose cost is low and whose power consumption is small and which can be used even under a harsh temperature condition. SOLUTION: This display panel is constituted by arranging a plurality of display elements 1 each of which is formed by sealing two kinds of dry particles 6, 7 whose colors and charged polarities are different between a transparent substrate 3 and a counter substrate 4 and also by providing two kinds of electrodes 8, 9 which give static electric fields to these particles and whose polarities are different on the side of the counter substrate 4 while forming them in line and by imparting necessary polarities to respective electrodes 8, 9 of respective display elements 1.
