<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoding method and a decoding method precluding a determination as to whether or not an anti-browsing function is imparted, until a file is browsed, without altering the characteristic of data recorded in the file. <P>SOLUTION: The data file encoding method includes embedding a desired tag and its tag data into the tag data of a particular tag, and generating the tag value of the desired tag as a substituted value through predetermined code conversion, for a data file in which each segment consists of tags serving as identification information and tag data serving as data about the tags and data such as image information is expressed by one or more of the segments. Decoding the data file includes, for the particular tag, determining if a value obtained by performing the inverse conversion of the predetermined code conversion on any tag in the tag data of the particular tag corresponds to the desired tag, and when it is the desired tag, taking out the tag and subsequent tag data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
