FIELD: powder metallurgy, possibly manufacture of materials and articles of aluminum and its alloys used in machine engineering, namely in such branches as automobile construction, rocket manufacture, aviation, nuclear machine engineering, lift making and other, also in building industry branches. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of compacting powder; heating powder material until temperature no less than 500C; hot pressing of powdered material in rolls at the same temperature; using palletized aluminum powder with particle size 50 - 200 micrometers; pouring powder to closed envelope made of steel sheet with thickness 0.5 - 2.0 mm having the same or different thickness values of walls contacting with rolls at pressing and having cross section almost the same as sheet blank; heating envelope together with powder until 500-600C and reducing envelope with powder between rolls with diameter no less than 500mm at linear velocity of rolls in range 0.03 - 0.3 m/c until thickness value determined according to expression: , H1 - thickness of material together with envelope at outlet of rolls, mm; H0 - thickness of material together with envelope at inlet of rolls, mm; rho0 - density of pouring material at inlet of rolls, g/cub. cm; rho1 - theoretical density of material, g/cub. cm; f1,f2 - thickness values of envelope walls contacting at reduction with rolls, mm; then cooling envelope, cutting it and extracting from it ready sheet blank; using envelope in the form of trough-shaped pan with cover. In order to make of sheet blank sheets of foamed aluminum, 0.5 -1.0 mass% of powdered blowing agent (TiH2) is added to aluminum powder before pressing it. In such case envelope with powder is heated until 500-550C for further reducing between rolls. Pellets of aluminum powder are treated with polymethylsiloxane or polyethylsiloxane before pressing.
