FIELD: processes for grinding surfaces of articles by means of grinding attachment, possibly treatment of wooden articles during intermediate procedure between stages of applying vanish, at cleaning metallic and other surfaces. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of placing grinding attachment in the form of grinding blocks arranged radially relative to core and forming cylindrical grinding attachment; rotating grinding blocks around rotation axis parallel relative to ground surface of article in order to provide grinding pressure acting upon ground surface from separate grinding blocks due to action of centrifugal effort; rotating cylindrical grinding attachment and simultaneously moving it relative to article or moving article relative to said attachment; rotating grinding blocks in direction of rolling on article at revolution number exceeding that of grinding blocks subjected to rotation in opposite direction. EFFECT: enhanced quality of grinding at uniform wear of grinding blocks. 2 cl, 3 dwg
