METAL SEPARATOR FOR FUEL CELL AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD

A metal separator for a fuel cell in which a conductive inclusion projects from the surface, the surface of the matrix is subjected to a chemical substance layer forming processing to promote the volume expansion of the matrix, and the condition 0.16 ≤ R/r ≤ 0.8 is satisfied where R is the average circle−equivalent diameter of the conductive inclusion and r is the average circle−equivalent diameter of the crystal grains of the matrix. The conductive inclusion is prevented from coming off, and resultantly the contact resistance is reduced, thereby greatly improving the generation performance.
