The base (3) of the carrier (20,21) swivels in a boot roof opening so the top of the base lies flush with the top of the boot cover. A support protending from the carrier is activated by swiveling the base. The base swivel axis (22,23) rotates on both sides of the base (3) in the boot cover (1,2) area. The carrier is underpinned by a bath piece which in turn is fixed to the underside of the boot cover (1) and has its own swivel axis. A bolt running alongside the base (3) engages this when the carrier is at rest.
