PURPOSE: A method for controlling amount of blowing air into blast furnace is provided to calculate a remote set value capable of controlling blowing amount supplied to the blast furnace from the blower by request value requested in blast furnace operation and discharge flow, suction flow and discharge pressure of blower being in operation. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises a step of converting request value (RV) into fixed request value (HRV), and providing the fixed request value (HRV) to remote set value (RSV) module for calculating remote set value (RSV); a step of calculating allowable decrease of flow (ADF), and providing the allowable decrease of flow (ADF) to allowable lower set value (ALSV) module; a step of calculating allowable lower set value (ALSV) and providing the allowable lower set value (ALSV) to temporary storage value (TSV) module in the allowable lower set value (ALSV) module; and a step of calculating temporary set value (STV) and providing the temporary set value (STV) to upper limit range (ULR) module in the temporary storage value (TSV) module, wherein lower set value range (LSVR) calculated in the upper limit range (ULR) module is provided to the allowable lower set value (ALSV) module, and the allowable lower set value (ALSV) is calculated as the allowable decrease of flow (ADF) in case that the allowable decrease of flow (ADF) is the same as or greater than the lower set value range (LSVR) while the allowable lower set value (ALSV) is calculated as the lower set value range (LSVR) in case that the allowable decrease of flow (ADF) is less than the lower set value range (LSVR) in the allowable lower set value (ALSV) module, and wherein allowable upper set value range (AUSVR) is provided to the temporary storage value (TSV) module, and the temporary storage value (TSV) is calculated as the fixed request value (HRV) in case that the fixed request value (HRV) satisfies first condition existing between the allowable lower set value (ALSV) and allowable upper set value range (AUSVR) while the temporary storage value (TSV) is calculated as the allowable lower set value (ALSV) or allowable upper set value range (AUSVR) in case that the fixed request value (HRV) does not satisfy the first condition in the temporary storage value (TSV) module.
