CONTINUOUS CASTING METHOD FOR IMPROVING RIDGING PROPERTY OF FERRITIC STAINLESS STEEL

PURPOSE: A continuous casting method of ferritic stainless steel is provided, which can improve ridging property of ferritic stainless steel by optimally controlling the rate and temperature of casting in tundish. CONSTITUTION: In a continuous casting method of ferritic stainless steel, the method is characterized in that continuous casting rate (Vc) under electronic agitation is in the range of 0.7 to 1.1m/min; the temperature difference (ΔT) between the temperature of molten steel in tundish and the solidification temperature of cast alloy is regulated in the range of 10 to 40°C, satisfying casting rate according to mathematical formula I (Vc=2.14(ΔT)-0.29) and II (Vc=0.0004(ΔT)¬2-0.0254(ΔT)+1.1443).
