PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cornering method for glass plates which does not cause troubles, such as bring about crack and nick in a glass plate and allows corner parts of the glass plate to be satisfactorily cornered and to provide an equipment therefor. SOLUTION: The cornering equipment 1 of glass plate is provided with a conveying means 11, a grindstone mounting stand 12 which is freely movable in the same direction with the conveyance direction X of the glass plate 5, a grindstone 14 which is mounted on the grindstone mounting stand 12 and, at the same time, is freely movable for the grindstone mounting stand 12, a detection means 22 which detects the conveyance at every unit amount of the glass plate 5 which is conveyed by the conveying means 11, a grindstone mounting stand moving means 23 which moves the grindstone mounting stand 12 in accordance with the conveyance at every unit amount of the glass plate 5 detected by the detection means 22 and a grindstone moving means 29 which moves the grindstone 14 in the direction of grinding the corner part 25 of the glass plate 5 with respect to the grindstone mounting stand 12 during the moving of the grindstone mounting stand 12.
