PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for locking a support member to a post facilitating mounting of the support member to the post, while being excellent in strength. SOLUTION: The device for locking a support member to a post locks the support member to a side face of the post by means of a locking member while the support member is facing in the horizontal direction in which it supports a load. Two oblong holes 10 and 10 are provided in a side piece 7a of the support member 7 opposite to the side face of the post 1, and two outwardly- extending, downward hook pieces 6b and 6b are provided on both side edges of the base part 6a of the locking member 6. The hook pieces 6b and 6b are fitted into the oblong holes 10 and 10 from the inside of the side piece 7a and made to protrude out of the side piece 7a. The protruding hook pieces 6b and 6b are locked into engagement holes 5 provided in the side face of the post 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
