<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recorder utilizing an ink cartridge storing pigment ink, for example, in which unevenness of print quality due to sedimentation of pigment component can be prevented. <P>SOLUTION: At a part of an ink cartridge 8 storing pigment ink, a sound generating means consisting of an elongated space 64 and a steel ball 65 contained therein is provided. The ink cartridge 8 is fixed with an exciting tool 71 provided with a cap member 73 abutting against the ink supply part 61 of the cartridge. When the ink cartridge is shaken, under that state, in the direction for generating an impact sound by the steel ball 65, pigment component settling in the ink storage chamber of the cartridge is dispersed effectively, thus preventing the print quality from becoming uneven. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
