<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball improved in carrying distance and aerodynamical symmetry. <P>SOLUTION: The golf ball is provided with five kinds of dimples from A to E. The E dimple is a specific laterally long dimple and the other dimples are circular dimples. The specific laterally long dimple satisfies conditions (I) and (II) in which a lengthwise dimension Lx is≥1.4-fold average diameter D of the circular dimple and≤3.0-fold (I), a crosswise dimension Ln is≥0.75-fold average diameter D of the circular dimple, and the ratio of the number of the specific laterally long dimples to the total number of dimples is≥2% and≤12% (II). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
