PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slitting device capable of easily controlling the balance of a tension between a removed ear part and a product part, preventing a quality from being lowered by the mutual abrasion of slit products, and easily recycling the removed ear part when a coated wide band-like photo-sensitive material is slit to a specified width for production by using a plurality of wide band-like support bodies joined with each other excluding the ear part through adhesive tape. SOLUTION: In this slitting device, the running wide band-like photo-sensitive material is continuously slit into a product part with a specified width and the ear parts at both side end parts thereof by using upper and lower rotating blades. The ear part and the portion formed into the film product are separated from each other by a separating means immediately after slitting. The separated ear part is held by a nip roll, and led into a suction duct for collection. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
