<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support the management of preserved biological specimens. <P>SOLUTION: A biological specimen management system is provided with a specimen database 22, which correlates possession numbers 9-1 to 9-n directly written on the biological specimens 7-1 to 7-n, with the storage areas 8-1 to 8-n of the specimens 7-1 to 7-n, a literature database 21 which correlates the possession numbers 9-1 to 9-n with the data about literatures regarding the specimens 7-1 to 7-n, and a retrieving condition collecting section 30 which collects conditions from terminals 4-1 to 4-n. The management system is also provided with a literature-retrieving section 31, which extracts the possession numbers 9-1 to 9-n, corresponding to the literature data meeting the collected conditions from the literature database 21, a storage area retrieving section 32 which extracts the storage areas 8-1 to 8-n, corresponding to the possession numbers 9-1 to 9-n extracted by means of the literature-retrieving section 31 by referring to the specimen database 22, and a storage area downloading section 33, which downloads the storage areas 8-1 to 8-n extracted by means of the retrieving section 32 to the terminals 4-1 to 4-n. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
