PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure displacement recording medium at low cost capable of recording surely and simply the history of structure displacement caused by an earthquake motion or the like. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of a sandwiching means 1 having a U-shaped or reversely U-shaped sandwiching part 3 projected to the facing end side through a connection arm part 2 connected to either end of a base part A upper end and a structure B lower end, and a recording plate 11 made of a soft material, projected from the other end and inserted into the sandwiching part 3. In the sandwiching part 3, a narrowed end 8 of a screw 9 projecting to the inside from either of a pair of vertical plate parts 7, 7 on the front and rear sides projecting through a horizontal substrate 5 is brought into pressure contact with a recording surface 12 formed on the front or back surface of the recording plate 11, to thereby sandwich the recording plate 11 between the screw narrowed end 8 and the other vertical plate part, and a space S for vertical movement of the recording plate is formed between the recording plate 11 tip face and the horizontal substrate 5 inner face of the sandwiching part.
