<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmission system useful for a user to operate an image pickup device installed at a remote place and directly communicate with an explainer on the basis of a picked-up image. <P>SOLUTION: When the user selects a store in an electronic mall of an electronic mall server 12 from a user terminal 14, the terminal 14 is connected to a communication control device 30 in communication terminal equipment 18 corresponding to the selected store. The control device 30 transmits an image photographed by a camera 34 to the terminal 14 and an explainer's terminal 40 and transmits sound picked up by a microphone 36 to the terminal 14. When the explainer permits connection, the control device 30 mediates the transmission/reception of voices between both the terminals 40, 14.
