摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens component with an optical fiber that is superior in spatial latitude in optical design in arranging an optical fiber and a lens, compared with a design using a conventional GRIN lens, and that is small in insertion loss as well as manufacturable at low cost. SOLUTION: This lens component, 10 with the optical fiber is equipped with a base body 11, a partially machined spherical lens (lens) 12 fixed on the base body 11, composed of glass having a nearly uniform refractive index, and formed with a plane part 12a vertical to the center axis, and an optical fiber 14 which is provided with a tilted end face 14b on the side of the plane part 12a of the lens 12 in the base body 11 and which is fixed at nearly a focusing position. The lens component with the optical fiber is characterized by the optical fiber 14 and the lens 12 which are fixed to the base body 11 in the manner that the optical axis P of the optical fiber 14 is nearly parallel to the optical axis Q of outgoing light or entering light on the spherical face side of the lens 12.
