The system has vanes (1) consisting of segments joined together, whereby each segment is connected to another segment at one end via a rotation axis transverse to the vane's longitudinal axis and essentially parallel to the side of the vane subjected to wind. The segments are reversibly fixed in a defined position with respect to each other and the direction of movement of the vane can be altered by varying the setting of the segments of each vane. An independent claim is also included for the following: a vane for a wind power system.
