The method involves a subscriber unit (UE4) that originates a multicast message sending it via subordinate and superior radio network control units (RNC1,RNC2,SGSN1,CGSN) to a multicast center (MCC) or the message being received from one of these devices. The message is then sent from the multicast center to subscribers of a multicast group. Independent claims are also included for the following: a subscriber unit for use in a radio communications system, a radio network control unit and a computer program product for implementing the inventive method.
