PURPOSE: A door rotation restraint apparatus is provided to achieve improved use convenience by fixing the refrigerator door at a predetermined open position. CONSTITUTION: A door rotation restraint apparatus comprises a main body having at least one cooling compartment; a door coupled to the main body in such a manner that the door opens/shuts the front opening of the cooling compartment; a support shaft(35) arranged to one of the main body and the door along the axial direction of the door, which supports the door to be rotatable; a rotation restraint lever(37) arranged to the other of the main body and the door in such a manner that the rotation restraint lever contacts or is spaced apart from the support shaft, and restrains rotation of the door when the rotation restrain lever contacts the support shaft; a lever driving unit(41) for driving the rotation restraint lever between the position where the rotation restraint lever contacts the support shaft and the position where the rotation restraint lever is spaced apart from the support shaft; a door fixing button arranged to the main body or the door, which inputs a signal for fixing the door at a predetermined open position; and a controller for controlling operation of the lever driving unit in accordance with the signal input from the door fixing button.
