PURPOSE: A system for measuring temperature of underground power cables is provided to precisely measure the temperature of the underground power cable by utilizing an optical fiber and a temperature distribution measuring device connected to the optical fiber. CONSTITUTION: An underground power cable(1) is formed by installing a power cable having a connection box(6) under the ground. The underground power cable(1) is withdrawn to an exterior through a terminal connection box(3) so as to be connected with a processing line, a circuit breaker, and a transformer. A region of the underground power cable(1) extending from the connection box(6) to the terminal connection box(3) is selected as a temperature measuring region. An optical fiber(2) is attached to a cable conductor of the underground power cable(1). An insulating member and an outer skin are sequentially formed on an outer portion of the cable conductor.
