METHYL METHACRYLATE MODIFIED POLYESTER BINDER COMPOSITION FOR POLYMER CONCRETE AND MORTAR

PURPOSE: A methyl methacrylate modified polyester binder composition for polymer concrete and mortar is provided, to enable a binder with a low viscosity and, little change of viscosity according to the change of temperature and rapid curing time to be prepared, thereby obtaining a product having high compression strength, tensile strength and bending strength. CONSTITUTION: The methyl methacrylate modified polyester binder composition comprises 50-80 wt% of a styrene-containing unsaturated polyester resin; and 20-50 wt% of methyl methacrylate. Preferably the composition comprises further 5-20 wt% of a shrinkage reducing agent based on the amount of the unsaturated polyester resin.
