PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal plate machining device and a metal plate machining method capable of effectively preventing wavy deformation of a cut part when a strip metal plate is cut or trimmed. SOLUTION: This metal plate machining device has a pair of rotating blades for cutting widthwise edges of the continuous strip metal plate running in a constant direction, and the rotation axis of the rotating blades has an angle with respect to the running direction of the metal plate so that the cutting edges of the rotating blades and a cut part of the metal plate open toward the downstream side of the running direction of the metal plate.
