PURPOSE: An overcurrent breaking apparatus of a communication rack is provided to artificially switch power led into a PBA(Print Board Assembly) unit by operating a breaker by shelves. CONSTITUTION: A shelf includes an overcurrent breaker for breaking an overcurrent inputted from a bus bar and power led into a PBA unit and a backboard. A power input terminal(130) receives power outputted from the bus bar. A switch(140) connected to the power input terminal(130) switches on or off power inputted from the power input terminal(130). A power output terminal(150) connected to the switch(140) and outputs power to the PBA unit or the backboard when the switch(140) switches power on. A breaking bus bar(160) connected to the power input terminal(130), the switch(140) and the power output terminal(150) breaks overcurrent.
