PURPOSE: A method for fabricating flake type silver powder with high purity and dispersibility is provided. CONSTITUTION: The method includes the steps of adding NH4OH (mole ratio of NH3/Ag is 3 to 7) into ethylene glycol; adding AgNO3 (mole ratio of AgNO3/ethylene glycol is 0.0023 to 0.0070) and PVP (weight ratio of AgNO3/PVP is 1) to above a mixture solution of NH4OH and ethylene glycol to prepare a first solution; adding H2PtCl6 (mole ratio of Pt/Ag is 1.0x10¬-3 to 1.0x10¬-2) and H2O2 (mole ratio of H2O2/Ag is 3.92 to 10) into ethylene glycol solution to prepare a second solution; stirring the first solution and the second solution respectively with magnetic bars at room temperatures; blending the first solution and the second solution at a mixing rate of 50 mL/min, followed by reaction for two hours; rinsing the resultant solution obtained after reaction between the first solution and the second solution with ethanol, followed by filtration and drying to fabricate flake type silver powder.
