PURPOSE: An administrative data path interfacing unit in an ATM switch board is provided to integrally manage administrative information paths required for a switch board by a switch board controller by integrating the paths with a user information path. CONSTITUTION: A switch board and line cards are respectively connected to optical photos, and the switch board integrally manages administrative information for connection management/system management/failure and performance management, and user information generated from each line card. An administrative data path interface unit(113) includes plural STM-4c line interface units(511-511+N), plural ATM layer controlling and buffer managing units(521-521+N), and plural FIFO units(531-531+N). The STM-4c line interface units(511-511+N) interface user information transmitted to and received from the line cards(121-121+N). The ATM layer controlling and buffer managing units(521-521+N) corresponding to the STM-4c line interface units(511-511+N) one to one buffer the user information and control an ATM layer. The FIFO units(531-531+N) interface administrative information with the switch board controller(113).
