PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electric machine and a manufacturing method therefor that allow a magnet to be fixed at a prescribed position. SOLUTION: A magnet control part 9 is formed at a position where the center in the peripheral direction of an arc part 3 and its bottom 5 are connected so as to form a convex inside the arc part, and the magnet 4 is sandwiched by a magnet-mount jig 10 from a vertical direction. The magnet 4 is then rubbed in the vertical direction by moving a yoke housing 1. Thereafter, the vertical movement of the magnet 4 is controlled by press-pushing the magnet 4 against the magnet control part 9, thus allowing the magnet 4 to be fixed at the prescribed position. After the magnet 4 is fixed at the prescribed position, the sandwich state of the magnet-mount jig 10 is released, and the fixation of the magnet 4 is completed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
