PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel sheet pile which is excellent in water cut-off property even if used under the environment of high water pressure of 5 kgf/cm<SP>2</SP>or more. SOLUTION: In the steel sheet pile with a claw-shaped Larsen type joint at the tip of a flange part in a cross-sectional view, a recessed groove into which a water cut-off material is filled is formed on the inner face side of a claw bottom part of the joint by hot-rolling. In this case, it is preferable that the bottom thickness of the recessed groove is larger than the wall- thickness of the flange part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
