<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely remove soot and dust and to reduce the time of forced air drying by blowing steam or hot water toward an electrode part of an electrostatic precipitator to remove the soot and dust stuck and deposited to the surface of the electrode part and blowing air to a dust collecting passage containing the electrode part by a blower to dry the surface of the electrode part. SOLUTION: When cleaning the electrode part 9, on the surface of which the soot and dust containing diesel soot is stuck, after an inlet damper 3 and an outlet damper 4 are closed, the high temp. high pressure steam generated in a steam generator 5 is introduced in a cleaning pipe line 7 through a motor driven valve 6 and blown toward the electrode part 9 from a cleaning nozzle 8. After that, the motor driven valve 12 is closed, the inlet damper 3 and the outlet damper 4 are opened with the finish of cleaning to dry the electrode part 9 by the forced air. Where, the high temp. high pressure steam is generated by the steam generator 5 as an example and hot air at >= about 70 deg.C can be also blown to the electrode part 9 in stead of the steam generator 5.</p> |
