PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for monitoring automatically a passenger are provided to grasp the number of passengers within a short time by monitoring automatically a riding state of the passenger on a bus. CONSTITUTION: An emergency switch is pushed in a standby state(S201,S202). An emergency signal is transmitted or a standby mode is performed(S203-S205). A state of reception of communication region identification data from a main system is checked(S206). A response signal is transmitted to the main system if the communication region identification data are received from the main system(S207,S208). A state of reception of terminal check data from the main system is checked(S209). A response signal is transmitted to the main system if the terminal check data are received from the main system(S210,S211). A bell sound is transmitted if the terminal check data are not received from the main system(S212). |
