PURPOSE: A method for producing a protein-polymer conjugate using a stationary phase column is provided, thereby producing the protein-polymer conjugate in higher yield, easily removing unreacted polymer, protein and other additives, maintaining the biological activity of the protein and decreasing immunogenicity of the protein. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing a protein-polymer conjugate using a stationary phase column comprises the steps of: adsorbing a protein to the stationary phase column; passing an activated water-soluble polymer solution through the stationary phase column to conjugate the polymer with the protein adsorbed to the column, resulting in a protein-polymer conjugate; and obtaining the protein-polymer conjugate from the column, wherein the water-soluble polymer is selected from the group consisting of polyethyleneglycol, dextran, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, polyacryl amide, polyvinyl alcohol, carbohydrate series polymer, and derivatives thereof; and the protein is interferon and the activated water-soluble polymer is activated polyethyleneglycol. |
