PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball grid array socket keeping a sure mechanical contact even when parts are shifted, and surely and electrically connecting a socket assembly with an electric device. SOLUTION: The socket for connecting an external circuit like a printed circuit board with an electric device comprises a housing having a bottom surface and a top surface having a plurality of apertures, a plurality of contact terminals disposed within one of the apertures of the housing, respectively, a compressible structure of a conductive material disposed within the plurality of contact terminals, respectively, and a mounting device for fixing the electric device to the socket.
