PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal continuously variable transmission which improves transmission efficiency and prevents generation of unstable transmission by using an integrated output disc for processing at traction surfaces with high precision. SOLUTION: A first and a second output discs 12a, 12b are an integrated output disc 12A formed with the traction surfaces 54a, 54b, 54c, 54d on both sides thereof. The outmost diametrical side part of the integrated output disc is formed with a datum plane 56 serving as a processing datum in processing the traction surface. Finishing the datum plane is performed after the heat treatment of the integrated output disc. Processing the integrated output disc 12A is performed by processing the traction surface in such a condition that the datum plane meets the datum surface of a processing apparatus. |
