PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fibrous product containing cotton fiber, having a good touch feeling, puckering property, W and W property, shrink-proof property and shape-keeping property after repeated washings, capable of suppressing the strength reduction caused by a gas phase formalin-treatment and excellent in an industrial productivity such as reduction of formalin smell during its production, etc. SOLUTION: This fibrous product containing the cotton fiber is imparted with a cyclic urea compounds as a cross-linking length-regulating agent, contains the cotton fiber having >=0.6 wt.% bonded formalin content in the cotton fiber and exhibits >=4 class shapekeeping property after repeated washings of 5 times according to JIS L-1042 FII method. The method for producing the fibrous product containing the cotton fiber is characterized by sewing a woven, knitted or non-woven fabric containing the cotton fiber pre-treated with a swelling agent for the cotton fiber and imparted with the cross-linking length-regulating agent, then imparting a compound capable of inter-molecularly cross-linking cellulose and cross-linking at the inside of the cotton fiber.
