PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact rotary actuator with high sealability controlling a plurality of directional control valves disposed in a rotation body by a rotation of the rotation body. SOLUTION: The rotary actuator is provided with a stationary body in which a shaft part is formed on one side end surface of a body part; a rotation body having an end surface opposed to the one side end surface of the body part and rotatably fitted to the shaft part of the stationary body; and a plurality of directional control valve disposed in the rotation body. The rotation body side passage communicated with the directional control valves is opened on the opposed end surface of the rotation body at a predetermined radius from a center of the shaft part and a stationary side passage hole is opened on the one side end surface of the stationary body at a predetermined radius from the center of the shaft part. A slide seal pressed to the opposed end surface of the rotation body is disposed at the opening of the stationary body side passage hole of the stationary body.
