PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device permitting a simple and improved inspection for defect detection before completing a liquid crystal display device, and also permitting improvement of productivity after completing inspection. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is constituted by being provided with a 1st gate side inspection wiring G1 connected with gate wiring of each switching element of odd-numbered rows in a pixel arrangement via switching elements for inspection, 2nd gate side inspection wiring G2 connected with gate wiring of each switching element of even-numbered rows via switching elements for inspection, source side inspection wiring S1 to S3 connected with every three pieces of source wiring via switching elements for inspection, an inspection wiring C1 exclusive for a 1st storage capacitance and an inspection wiring C2 exclusive for a 2nd storage capacitance connected with the wiring exclusive for storage capacitance forming storage capacitors at every odd-numbered and even-numbered rows, counter electrode side inspection wiring C connected with a counter electrode 13, and gate wiring G0 for inspection purpose for applying a potential to the gates of the switching elements for inspection.
