The clamp, comprising branches with a pair of gripping jaws on the ends of pivoted handles, has each branch made with two opposite bends (1, 3) on either side of the pivot, so that the jaws and handles are kept clear of the operating site. The tip (4) of each jaw has a hole (5) through it to allow for drilling, threading or screw insertion without having to remove the clamp. The free ends of the handles can be equipped with a spring and a rack and tooth locking mechanism.
