PURPOSE: A vertical spacer of a wiper blade is provided to improve the convenience of a driver by preventing the frosting of a wiper blade to the windshield via a vertical spacer in winter. CONSTITUTION: A wiper comprises a front arm(2) mounted with a wiper blade, a tunnel-shaped rear arm(4) combined to the front arm via such a connecting unit as a bolt(3), and a link assembly. A ring(6a) elastically supporting a spring(5) and a rod hook(8) connected with a rod(7) are attached to the front connection end of the front arm. Herein, the rod connected to a lever is connected to the rod hook of the front arm through the tunnel portion of the rear arm. When a motor rotates, the lever rotates by a drive shaft, and the rod is pulled. The rod stretches the spring and slightly pulls the front arm. Then, the wiper blade mounted on the front end portion of the front arm spaces apart from the surface of the windshield.
