A detachable holder comprises a centering strip (17) interacting with a complementary centering opening. A lock (21) is located in the centering strip and a lock receiver is arranged on the opening so that locking movement is controlled via a control surface. A lock release is arranged on an object support cassette for interacting with the control surface in such a way that the release grips the control surface when the centering opening and the centering strip interact. An Independent claim is also included for a process for holding an object support cassette using the holder.
