PURPOSE: An unlocking method using image data in a mobile communication terminal is provided to effectively prevent that the mobile communication terminal of a user is used by another person by comparing image data inputted through a camera with image data of the user and releasing a locking state of the mobile communication terminal according to the compared result. CONSTITUTION: A control unit of a mobile communication terminal extracts feature points extracted when calculating a reference value designated through captured image data by location information(S12). The control unit calculates values corresponding to the feature points extracted from the image data, and calculates a similar degree with the reference value(S13). The control unit discriminates whether the calculated similar degree is over a threshold value(S14). If the similar degree is smaller than the threshold value, the control unit releases the locking setup of the mobile communication terminal(S17).
