METHOD OF PRODUCING SLICE OF FRESH FRUIT AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method automatically producing slices of fresh fruits with peeled rinds while retaining damage of wall face of utricles enveloping the fruit juice in minimum. SOLUTION: The method comprises a step removing two cap shaped parts from the fruit, a step slicing the remaining part into some slices, a step fractionating the slices corresponding to the size of the slices and finally a step peeling off the rinds of the slices. The equipment for the method comprises a slice cutter 1 provided with two conveyer belts 2 for positioning the fruit and blades 4 and 5, a transfer means for transferring slices 102, provided with an apparatus for classification capable of discriminating the size of diameters thereof, a turning apparatus for the slices 102 and a peeling mechanism for separating flesh 103 from the mesocarp 104.
